Hopefully the previous sections will help you pinpoint what to create content about.

Now let's turn to how to make whatever you create get results.

Here are seven key things to keep in mind:

1. The Hook

The hook is a marketing term for the start of your video, post, article, email, ad, or whatever you're posting.

Think of it like fishing.

Just as you need a hook on the line to catch a fish, you need a hook in your content to grab your audience's attention.

This is a huge and involved topic that's beyond the scope of this eBook, but the main thing to know is this:

The hook is pivotal.

I’ve heard people say that if your content was a dollar, the hook would be worth 80 cents.

If you've been posting for a while and your content isn't performing well, it's usually because the hooks aren't good enough.

They didn't grab people and make them need to keep reading/watching.

For me, the best way to learn how to write good hooks is to pay attention to the content you consume.

What happened in the first few seconds or lines that stopped you in your tracks?

Next time you're scrolling, take note.

Literally.

Write down what the creator said or did.

What was on the screen?
