It’s the Ultimate Job

I can’t think of a much better line of work than content creation. Here’s why:

You don’t even need “content creator” as your job title.

If you run a business, creating content can be the difference between struggling to make ends meet and generating a waitlist of people desperate to work with you.

At a personal level, being a content creator has enabled me to travel the world, take more time off work than most people get in their entire career (because I control my time), and fill my life with experiences that give me a sense of meaning and purpose.

Yet these definitely aren’t the only incentives.

Here are are two other major **reasons to take content creation seriously.

1. Future-Proofing Yourself Against AI

For me, building a personal brand using content creation is a hedge against whatever a future with AI holds.

As the technology improves, it's going to eat up jobs faster than it is already.

As a freelance writer and someone who's been monetizing blogs/content sites for years, this worries me. For example, in 2023, I lost a £40k+ writing contract because the company decided to use AI in-house instead of outsourcing the project.
